Regime-controlled areas

 

-SOHR activists in southern Damascus have reported the escalating conflict between the Iranian-backed militia and 4th Division in the region. This conflict follows the blocking of side streets and major roads linking Sayeda Zeinab area and Babella and al-Hujayrah areas with soil barriers since March. According to SOHR sources, security tension is growing in southern Damascus, as dozens of militants from al-Nujaba’ Movement have been deployed in farmlands connecting Sayeda Zeinab with Biala and al- Hujayrah districts with the aim to prevent the 4th Division from entering the nearby farms in areas around the positions where the Iranian-backed militias have been recently stationed.

 

-Syrian Observatory activists have reported hearing an explosion in the central countryside of Daraa province, caused by the explosion of an IED that was planted on the road between Nawa and al-Sheikh Miskeen cities in north-west Daraa countryside. The explosion left two children wounded and caused damage in the district.

 

-SOHR sources have reported that unknown assailants opened machinegun fire on a checkpoint of the Air-Force Intelligence service in the south-west of Da’el in the middle countryside of Daraa. Meanwhile, regime soldiers stationed on the checkpoint opened fire on the attackers, but no casualties have been reported.

 

-Also, a civilian sustained injuries after he was hit with a gunshot fired by another man during a dispute that had erupted for unknown reason.

 

-Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists in Deir Ezzor city have reported that members of the regime-backed militia of “Jaysh al-Ashayer” have shot an adult dead after a quarrel between the young man and the militiamen took place in the past hours in the neighborhood of al-Jourah, which is under the control of Iranian and regime forces.

 

-SOHR activists have reported that four Iranian-backed militiamen were injured in the explosion of an old land mine, planted earlier by ISIS, in their four-wheel drive vehicle heading from the city of al-Asharh to Ain Ali shrine in east Deir Ezzor countryside. The wounded have been transferred to the Iranian-backed militia’s al-Shifaa Hospital in the city of al-Asharah.

 

 

Aleppo

 

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists in Afrin city in northwest Aleppo have reported that members of Turkey-backed al-Sham corps severely beaten a man in the village of Kawinda of Rajo district after his wife prevented a shepherd from grazing his sheep on the grape orchards owned by her husband. The accident is the second of its kind in May.

 

 

“De-escalation zone”

 

Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists documented the murder of three regime soldiers in rocket fire by factions of al-Fatah al-Mubeen operations room at positions of regime forces on al-Fataterah frontline in the southern countryside of Idlib. The strikes have also seriously wounded other soldiers.

 

SOHR activists have documented hearing an explosion near the railway station in Jisr al-Shughour city this evening, caused by an IED explosion in a military vehicle affiliated to the factions. The explosion resulted in the injury of the vehicle’s driver.
