Idlib | “Tahrir al-Sham” arrests “legal” son in Idlib countryside for unknown reasons

 

Idlib province: SOHR activists in Idlib, have reported that Tahrir al-Sham-backed security service has arrested in the past few hours one its legal sons. The arrested man who doesn’t belong to any military formation, in Mahmbil neighborhood in west of Idlib, has been dragged to unknown place.

Syrian Observatory activists, on May 20, reported that Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham security service arrested a member of “Hurras al-Din” organization, yesterday, from the city of Jisr al-Shughour in the western countryside of Idlib, as part of al-Julani’s promotional campaign of countering terrorism.

On May 3, SOHR sources reported that a security group of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham stormed the house of a man in Kafr Lata village in Idlib countryside, arresting a man and his son for unknown reasons.

While on May 6, Members of security service of HTS stormed houses in the village of Al-Yaqoubiya in the northern countryside of Jisr al-Shughour, west of Idlib, and arrested two Moroccan members of “Hurras al-Din” faction, and took them to its security centers in the region. This development coincided with a security alert in the region.

Similarly, SOHR sources reported, on May 17, that a military force of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham arrested two members of the jihadi organization of “Hurras al-Din” after storming their position in al-Fu’ah town in the north-eastern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, HTS members were seen on high alert.

This development came in light of the efforts by Abu Mohammad al-Julani the leader of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham to promote himself and HTS as “counters of terrorism”.
