Darra province: SOHR activists have documented an IED explosion near a house in al-Assad square in Darra, but no casualties have been reported. Unknown persons, on the early hours of Wednesday, have targeted one of the presidential elections balloting stations with a hand-made bomb in Namer neighborhood in Darra.

Syrian Observatory activists also have reported that unknown persons have sate fire in a municipal building, that worked as a center for voting, in west al-Maliha neighborhood eastern Darra. Other regime forces-held posts and barriers have been targeted by bombs and weapons in the early hours of Wednesday in the neighborhood of al-Taybah, al-Herak, Nahtah, Al-Karaq, al-Sahouah, al-Naiemah, Jasem and Namer, while different areas in western and eastern Darra countryside have seen a public strike for the second day in a row, to express the people rejection to the presidential election show in Syria that has been kicked off on Wednesday morning.

Yesterday, SOHR activists monitored a mass demonstration in front of al-Omari mosque’s square, which witnessed first spark of the “Syrian Revolution” in Daraa al-Balad. The demonstrators expressed their rejection of the presidential election that started on Wednesday morning in regime-controlled areas, and confirmed adherence to the constants of the revolution.

The protesters raised banners that read “no future for the Syrians with the murderer… we will continue against you.” Also, dozens of protesters have taken into the streets in similar protests in the city of Tafes, in the western Darra countryside. The protests sparked after calls for demonstrations in Darra, in general, rejecting the presidential elections.
