Old ordnance | Explosion of cluster bomb injures farmer in Idlib countryside

SOHR activists have documented the injury of a civilian in the explosion of an unexploded cluster bomb, while he was working in his land in Kansafra town in the southern countryside of Idlib.

 

On May 25, an old landmine exploded in a mechanised digger in Bateesh area in the south of Halfaya city in Hama countryside, while paving an off-road for transporting agricultural crops in the region. The explosion injured the mechanised digger’s driver who was an employee in the municipality.

 

SOHR activists had documented the death of a young man due to the explosion of an unexploded cluster bomb, while he was picking mahaleb cherry in farmlands surrounding al-Bara town in Jabal al-Zawiyah area in southern Idlib.
