Under supervision of Iranian experts | IRGC and PMF manufacture rocket launchers that use Iranian-made missiles in west Euphrates

Deir Ezzor province: Very reliable SOHR sources in areas under the control of the Iranians in west Euphrates region have confirmed that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) are manufacturing individual rocket launchers which use Iranian-made missiles in al-Mayadeen area, the capital of the Iranians in west Euphrates region.

According to SOHR sources, the manufacture process takes place in al-Rahba military zone in al-Mazare’ area, which hosts the largest gathering of Iranian forces and their proxy militias on the outskirts of al-Mayadeen city, under supervision of Iranian experts, along with tightened security imposed on the area which has been fortified greatly for fear of expected attacks by Israel or the International Coalition.

SOHR sources have also confirmed that the manufacture process started a few days ago, where tens of rocket launchers using surface-to-surface Iranian-made missiles have been ready. It is not known yet the reason behind the Iranian military massive build-ups in Syria, particularly west Euphrates region, through bringing periodical weapons shipments and manufacturing military equipment, especially since Iranian forces and their proxies do not carry out any military operations against ISIS which is prevalent in the Syrian desert.

On May 27, SOHR activists in west Euphrates region reported that Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, that control with their proxy militias the Iraq-Syria border, brought in a new shipment of arms from Iraq to Syria. The shipment included short-range missiles, machineguns and ammunition.

According to SOHR sources, the shipment was divided into two batches, the first has been stored in an area near al-Shibly monuments in Mayadeen city in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, while the second was stored at the outskirts of Deir Ezzor city.
