In a week | Shabiha and pro-regime militias arrest more than 15 Kurdish civilians in al-Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud neighbourhoods

Aleppo Province: The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported that pro-regime militias continue harassments against residents and inhabitants in al-Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud neighbourhoods, where most of their population is Syrian Kurds .These harassments started last week, particularly since the outset of recent events began in Manbij city which is under the control of the Autonomous Administration in eastern countryside of Aleppo.

 

These harassments included tightened security check of civilians at checkpoint of regime forces in Sheikh Maqsoud surrounding areas, while SOHR activists have documented the arrest of more than 14 civilians till now in both neighbourhoods. Moreover, SOHR sources say that Shabiha (regime loyalists who abuse power and commit illegal actions for the benefit of the regime) and pro-regime armed tribesmen are the ones who lead these harassments.
