Ceasefire violations | Two rebels killed by regime bombardment on Idlib, while cautious calm returns to de-escalation zone after heavy artillery fire

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of a member of opposition factions due to regime artillery fire on Balshon village in the southern countryside of Idlib. Accordingly, the opposition factions death toll has risen to two, as SOHR had documented the death of another member in Mashon village in Jabal al-Zawiyah and the injury of a civilian in Ahsem town.

 

On the other hand, SOHR activists have monitored the return of cautious calm to the de-escalation zone after regime forces rained it with shells and rockets, while the factions responded by shelling regime positions in Jorin and countryside of Idlib.

A few hours ago, Syrian Observatory for Human Rights activists in Putin-Erdogan area reported renewing rocket attacks by the regime forces in the countryside of Latakia, Hama and Idlib.

 

Since the morning, more than 95 rocket and artillery fire shelled areas in Mashoun, Ehsam, Balshoon, al-Feterah, Fulayfel, Bayanin, Kansafrah in the souther countryside of Idlib, al-Zyarah in Sahl al-Ghab northwestern Hama, Kebyanh in the Kurdish Mountain northern Latakia.

 

The attacks have killed a militiaman from Mashoun and wounded a civilian from Ehsam. The intensive bombardment on al-Zyarah, more than 40 shells, that sat fire in the agriculture crops.

 

The regime forces and the opposition and Islamic factions continue violating  the ceasefire agreement signed between Russia and Turkey on March 5, 2020, in the “de-escalation” area.
