To turn houses into military headquarters | SDF asks displaced people in al-Shaheel to evacuating houses

On June 11, 2021
Deir Ezzor province: SOHR activists have reported that SDF’s patrol has informed displaced families in al-Shaheel city in east of Deir Ezzor countryside to evacuate their houses to turn them into military headquarters and gave the families a time limit to leave.
It is worth noting that the families in those houses are displaced from al-Mayadeen city east of Deir Ezzor including a family from Dariya city in Damascus countryside. Also, the houses that are desired to be tunned into military bases have been owned by a family known by initial letters as “M” who were migrants outside Syrian, some are in Turkey and others in Gulf countries.
On May 24, Reliable sources informed SOHR that a patrol of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and Syria Democratic Forces, stormed the headquarters of the service commission of “Deir Ezzor Civil Council”, arresting the financial official. The members of the patrol attempted to arrest the official of the economy commission and the director of the Energy Board in “Deir Ezzor Civil Council”, but people of al-Bakara tribe living in the area prevented the patrol’s members from arresting the wanted. Reacting this attempted arrest, the people of al-Bakara tribe have closed the departments of the Civil Council in al-Ma’amel area in the north of Deir Ezzor city, while tension is growing between the people of al-Bakara tribe on one hand, and Asayish forces and SDF on the other.
