“De-escalation zone” | One killed and others injured in new round of regime bombardment on Jabal al-Zawiyah

SOHR activists in the “de-escalation zone” have reported renewed bombardment this morning by regime forces and Russian-backed militias, which targeted al-Bara, Kansafra, Fulayfel and Maarzaf in the southern countryside of Idlib. The bombardment on Maarzaf hit a house, killing a man and injuring others.

 

Moreover, positions in al-Ankawi village in Sahl al-Ghab in north-western Hama came under rocket fire by regime forces, but no casualties have been reported.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement fired several rockets on the regime-controlled city of Salma in the northern countryside of Latakia and Jurin camp in the western countryside of Hama. This rocket fire coincided with intensive bombardment by the factions on “al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room on regime positions on frontlines in the southern countryside of Idlib and Aleppo-Damascus international highway in eastern Idlib. No casualties were reported so far.

 

On the other hand, regime forces shelled positions in the surrounding areas of Kafr Nuran in the west of Aleppo and other positions in Jabal al-Zawiyahin southern Idlib.
