Joint patrol | Russian and Turkish forces tour villages in northern al-Hasakah

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that Russian and Turkish forces ran a new joint patrol in the areas of Malak, Dalek, al-Aliyah and Zahr al-Arab in Abu Rasin countryside in northern al-Hasakah, near Syria-Turkey border. The patrol, which set off from Sherek village and comprised three Russian armoured vehicles and four other Turkish, was escorted by two Russian helicopters.

On June 9, SOHR activists documented the death of a Russian soldier affected by his injuries in an explosion which hit a Russian military vehicle after passing in the village of al-Asadiyah on the frontlines separating areas under the control of Syria Democratic Forces and regime forces from areas controlled by Turkish forces and their proxies in Abu Raaseen countryside in al-Hasakah province. It is worth noting that the Russian soldier was taken to the field hospital in the SDF-held city of al-Darbasyah, before he died.
