“De-escalation zone” | Factions bombard Jurin in Sahl al-Ghab, amid clashes on frontlines in rural Idlib

SOHR has reported that opposition factions shelled the surrounding areas of Jurin town in Sahl al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama, with several rockets, which caused material damage only. The bombardment was concentrated near the military positions of regime-backed militiamen in the region.

SOHR activists have also monitored exchange of fire with heavy machineguns between “al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room and regime forces on the front line of al-Rwayha and Fulayfel villages in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Moreover, the factions targeted, with individual weapons, two regime soldiers on the frontline of al-Dar al-Kabeera in southern Idlib, but no confirmed information has been reported yet about their injury.

SOHR sources reported earlier this morning that regime forces renewed their intensive artillery and rocket fire on Idlib countryside this morning, targeting positions in Ihsim, al-Bara, Iblin, Balshoun, Jouzif, Abdittah, Arnaba, al-Faterah, Fulayfel, Bayanin and Sfuhen in the southern countryside of Idlib. The bombardment on Abdittah killed two fighters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham and injured others.

Meanwhile, fighter jets and reconnaissance drones were seen flying over Jabal al-Zawiyah. Moreover, regime forces targeted a civil car parked by the road with a guided missile in eastern al-Zayadiyyah in Sahl al-Ghab, which burned it down, but no casualties were reported.
