IED attack | Explosion injures regime soldiers a few kilometres away from occupied Syrian Golan

Al-Quneitra province : SOHR activists have documented the explosion of an IED on al-Jibaylia road near the occupied Syrian Golan in the countryside of al-Quneitra, which injured some regime soldiers.

According to SOHR sources, a Russian military vehicle transported the injured soldiers to nearby hospitals.

Local sources have also told SOHR that regime forces were conducting security patrols with the aim of guarding and securing the roads before the cars of regime officers and some leaders of Lebanese Hezbollah passing by the region.

Al-Jibaylia village is located two Kilometres away from the border strip, and it administratively belongs to the southern countryside of al-Quneitra.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported the explosion of an IED in the car of a member of a reconciliation committee in al-Rufayd town in the southern countryside of al-Quneitra, near the border with the occupied Syrian Golan. The explosion injured the man who was taken to the hospital. It is worth noting that the targeted man was an opposition commander, before he struck a reconciliation deal on 2018.

On June 9, SOHR activists reported the explosion of an IED planted by unknown people in Nabaa al-Sakhr village in the central al-Quneitra countryside, a few kilometres away from the border of the occupied Syrian Golan. The explosion caused material damage only.
