Hama | ten killed and wounded of national defense forces in explosion eastern Hama

Hama province: SOHR activists have documented death of four members of the national defense and wounding of other six in a land mine explosion, that is believed to be ISIS ordinance, targeting a bus that was transporting them from Rasm Ghazala neighborhood in Solmiyah desert in east Hama countryside.

Meanwhile, Russian warplanes bombarded in the early hours of Thursday, 20 strikes on positions of ISIS starting from Jabal al-Boushra until reaching northeastern al-Sokhna and Jabal al-Amour in the Syrian desert. The strikes coincided with combing the same areas by Russian-backed 5th Division in search for ISIS fighters.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of two regime soldiers and the injury of seven others in a new ambush by ISIS in Wadi al-Abyad “the White Valley” in Palmyra desert in Homs governorate.

This attack coincides with the ongoing combing operations by Russian and regime forces and their proxy militias in the Syrian desert, searching for ISIS members in the region.

Since 24th of March 2019, SOHR has documented the killing of at least 1,485 regime soldiers and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including at least two Russians, and 152 Iranian-backed militiamen of non-Syrian nationalities. All were killed in attacks, bombings and ambushes by the “Islamic State”, west of Euphrates in the deserts of Deir Ezzor, al-Raqqah, Homs, al-Suwaidaa, Hama and Aleppo.

Also, four civilians working in gas fields, tens of shepherds and other civilians were killed and documented by SOHR in the same period, from late March 2019 until today. They were killed in attacks by ISIS cells. While 968 ISIS members were also killed in attacks and bombardment in the same period.
