Under various pretexts | Regime security services arrested around 30 civilians from Daraa since early 2021

SOHR activists have documented the arrest of 29 civilians from Daraa province by regime security services since the beginning of 2021. These civilians were arrested in Daraa and other Syrian provinces.

 

SOHR has managed to document the arrest of 14 people by names, while SOHR activists are exerting diligent efforts to document the remaining detainees as well.

 

Details and circumstances of these arrests could be summerized as follows:

 

• On January 8, Air Force Intelligence service arrested a young man from Dael, who had struck a reconciliation deal.

 

• On March 14, a civilian from Dael town was arrested while he was going to see doctor in Daraa city.

 

• On April4, a child from Ankhel city was arrested at the Manket al-Hatab checkpoint on his way to Damascus.

 

• On April 10, air force intelligence service arrested a youth from Dael, despite he had struck a reconciliation deal.

 

• On April 27, air force intelligence service arrested a youth from Dael, despite he had struck a reconciliation deal

 

• On May 8, a civilian from Da’el town was arrested at a regime checkpoint in the capital, Damascus

 

• On May 8, regime security services arrested two civilians from Tafas town in Daraa countryside.

 

• On May 31, regime security services arrested a young man after they had stormed his home in Da’el town in the countryside of Daraa

 

• On June 9, regime military services arrested a civilian after storming his home in Nemer town in the countryside of Daraa.

 

• On June12, regime security services arrested a civilian from al-Hara town in the countryside of Daraa

 

• On June 21,regime security services, stationed at checkpoint in al-Dahia in the city of Daraa, arrested an engineer who was a former chairman of local municipal in Jasem city, and he had struck a reconciliation deal.

 

• On June22, a civilian from Daraa al-Mehata was arrested at a checkpoint of Air-Force Intelligence service.

 

• On June 23, regime security services arrested a civilian from Daraa al-Balad while he was applying for a passport from the immigration and passport department in Damascus.
