Death toll update | Fiver members of Self-Defence Forces killed in ISIS ambush in rural Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of two members of the Self-Defence Forces affected by the injury they had in yesterday’s ambush by ISIS cells who targeted a vehicle carrying a group of the Self-Defence Forces in Jazarat al-Milaj town in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

Accordingly, the number of fatalities in this attack jumped to five, as well as the injury of four other members.

 

Meanwhile, SDF have launched a combing operation in the region, but no information have been reported about the campaign’s outcomes.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of three fighters of the Self-Defense troops and the injury of six others in an ambush by unknown assailants believed to be of ISIS cells, when the bus they were travelling on was targeted in the town of Jazarat al-Milaj in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor.

 

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 771 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties

 

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 271 civilians including 17 children and 11 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 496 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
