Assassination | Unknown gunmen shoot mayor of town in al-Quneitra countryside dead

Al-Quneitra province: Syrian Observatory activists in al-Quneitra province reported the assassination of the mayor of Ghadeer al-Bostan town, near the border with the Syrian occupied Golan, after unknown gunmen opened fire on him in front of his house.

 

On June 25, SOHR sources reported that an IED exploded in a car belonging to a former judge of regime state security court who became a judge of criminal court, in Qarqas village in south al-Quneitra countryside. The explosion resulted in the death of his son who works as a lawyer and injury of two other sons.

 

A day earlier, SOHR activists documented the death of a member worked for the Military Security branch in al-Quneitra countryside and the injury of another, while a group of the branch’s members were storming a house in Memtana village, where a man, believed to be the house’s owner, opened fire directly on the security members.
