Growing tension | Manbij Military Council Forces clash with Turkish-backed factions and destroy a tank, while residents displace to safer areas

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported renewed clashes on the frontlines of al-Lajat village in Manbij countryside in eastern Aleppo between Manbij Military Council Forces and Turkish backed factions. While Manbij Military Council’s fighters have destroyed a tank of Turkish backed factions in the village, as it was advancing into Manbij Military Council Forces’ positions.

 

In the same context, several families have displaced from their villages , due to the repeated attacks and shelling on their homes and residential neighborhoods

 

SOHR activists reported in the early hours of Monday morning exchange of attacks with medium and heavy weapons between Manbij Military Council forces on one side and the Turkish forces and its proxies on the other at frontlines of so-called “Khat al-Shagour” northern Aleppo, without information about casualties.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported intensive and violent rocket fire by Turkish forces and their proxy factions in the early hours of Saturday morning, which targeted positions along the frontlines with Kurdish forces in Manbij and al-Bab countryside in eastern Aleppo. Meanwhile, Kurdish forces reacted by similar bombardment, which caused material damage, but no casualties were reported.
