Old ordnance | Explosion of landmine planted earlier by ISIS injures two children in eastern Hama

SOHR activists in Hama have documented the injury of two children after the explosion of an old landmine planted earlier by ISIS in Qulayb al-Thour village in the eastern countryside of Hama. The two children were taken to the hospital in Salamiyyah.

 

On June 30, a civilian from Awn al-Dadat village in Manbij countryside in eastern Aleppo died affected by the injury he had a day earlier due to the explosion of an old landmine, while he was working in his farmland.

 

On the same day, June 30, SOHR activists documented the death of a civilian and serious injury of another after the explosion of an old landmine planted earlier by ISIS in Aghbish village in Ain al-Arab countryside (Kobani) in eastern Aleppo.

 

Syrian Observatory activists have documented the death of 545 people, including 77 women and 178 children, by mines and IED explosions and the collapse of cracked residential buildings in several areas of the Syrian territory in Homs, Hama, Deir Ezzor, Aleppo and the Syrian South since early January 2019.
