While detonating land mine | National Defense member killed in explosion in Deir Ezzor

 

SOHR activists have documented that a members of the Syrian regime-backed National Defense factions was killed in land mine explosion while he was trying to detonate it in Faydahat Ibn Mowina in al-Mayadeen desert in eastern Deir Ezzor.

On July 8, SOHR activists reported that at least two regime soldiers were killed and eight others sustained various injuries, after a landmine planted earlier by ISIS by the road in the north of Sokhna in the eastern countryside of Homs exploded while their military bus was passing.

Meanwhile, Russian fighter jets executed over 30 airstrikes, targeting several positions in Syrian Desert, along with the continuous combing operation in search for ISIS cells in the region.

Since 24th of March 2019, SOHR has documented the killing of at least 1,488 regime soldiers and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, including at least two Russians, and 152 Iranian-backed militiamen of non-Syrian nationalities. All were killed in attacks, bombings and ambushes by the “Islamic State”, west of Euphrates in the deserts of Deir Ezzor, al-Raqqah, Homs, al-Suwaidaa, Hama and Aleppo.

Also, four civilians working in gas fields, tens of shepherds and other civilians were killed and documented by SOHR in the same period, from late March 2019 until today. They were killed in attacks by ISIS cells. While 968 ISIS members were also killed in attacks and bombardment in the same period due to shillings, targeting and attacks.
