For 2nd day | Russian jets strike Hursh Joezief in Jabal al-Zawiyah

SOHR sources have reported that Russian fighter jets have executed several airstrikes on Hursh Joezief area in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported.

It is worth noting that the area hosts military headquarters of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham. It is worth noting that these are the second round of airstrikes on the region in 24 hours.

Yesterday, SOHR activists in the de-escalation zone reported that Russian warplanes executed several airstrikes at noon on the frontlines of Kabana in Jabal al-Akrad in north Latikkia countryside, and Hursh Joezief in Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib, which caused material damage, but no casualties were reported.

On July 3, SOHR sources said that Russian jets executed two strikes, targeting al-Rouj al-Shamali station which contained ten water pumps which nearly 3,500 hectares of farmlands depend on for irrigation. The Russian jets also fired three missiles on the civil defence centre in Sheikh Youssef, putting it out of service. However, no casualties were reported.

SOHR sources documented earlier in the morning four strikes by a Russian fighter jet on Sheikh Youssef area on the western outskirts of Idlib city, but no further details were reported about the number of casualties and material damage caused by these airstrikes. The Russian airstrikes coincided with flight by another Russian jet over the “de-escalation zone”.
