New massacre | Regime forces shell positions in rural Idlib, killing eight civilians

SOHR sources have reported that regime forces committed a new massacre this morning in the “de-escalation zone”, as five civilians, including one child at least, were killed in rocket attacks on Masbah area in the vicinity of al-Fu’ah in the north-eastern countryside of Idlib. The fatalities were workers who were breaking stones. Moreover, SOHR activists have documented the death of three civilians, including a woman and a child, due to rocket fire by regime forces this morning on Iblin in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Accordingly, the number of civilians killed this morning in bombardment by regime forces on the “de-escalation zone” has reached eight people, while the number of casualties is expected to rise further as the bombardment left several persons injured, some seriously. Furthermore, regime forces shelled positions in Hmeimat village in Sahl al-Ghab in north-western Hama.

Yesterday, SOHR activists reported that opposition factions fired an anti-tank guided missile on regime armoured vehicle on the frontlines of Kawkaba village in Jabal Shashabo in Idlib countryside, which left several casualties among regime forces.

On the other hand, regime forces stationed in Idlib countryside bombarded the surrounding areas of al-Ruwayha village with heavy artillery in the northern countryside of Idlib.

Meanwhile, regime forces bombarded Khirbat al-Naqus village in Hama countryside and Hmeimat village in Sahl al-Ghab in north-western Hama, but no casualties were reported.
