Al-Suwaydaa | Al-Shahbaa families agree on uproot regime-backed gangs of kidnappings and murders

Al-Suwaydaa province: SOHR activists have reported ongoing security tension and sporadic clashes in Shahba city in al-Suwaydaa, after families in the area agreed on uprooting the gang members from the city.

 

According to reliable sources, “al-Taweel” family, that lost three members who were killed by militiamen of one of the biggest families in Shahba known as “al-Khateeb”, formed alliances with other families to eliminate all member of the regime-backed gangs which committed murders, robberies, thefts and kidnappings in the city. However no casualties have been reported yet.

 

Earlier today, SOHR activists documented the death of four civilians and injuries of other five in an armed feud among a group of civilians in the neighborhood of Masakin al-Khoder and the market of Shahba city in al-Suwaydaa province amid ongoing tensions. The murdered people belonged to famous families in Shahba city.

 

Meanwhile, all shops shut down over concerns of the renewal of clashes in the city.
