Along with combing operations | Turkish forces deploy along M4 highway in Idlib countryside

Idlib province: SOHR activists have reported a large number of Turkish troops deployed this morning along Latakia-Aleppo international highway “M4” in Idlib countryside. Meanwhile, Turkish forces starting combing operations on the highway, exactly the part running through the southern countryside of Idlib, searching for landmines and IEDs. However, the reasons behind this combing operation remained unknown if it comes as a part of preparation for a new patrol by Turkish forces or not.

 

On June 27, SOHR activists in Idlib province reported seeing Turkish forces combing Latakia-Aleppo international highway “M4” from Musaybeen to the bridge in Ariha city in Idlib countryside.

 

While on May 18, SOHR activists in Idlib province reported seeing Turkish forces deploying large number of units along Latakia-Aleppo international highway “M4”, blocking it. It is worth noting that Turkish forces deployed large number of soldiers on the road between Maarrat Misrin and Idlib city and checked and inspected it using advanced devices.
