Military escalation in Aleppo countryside | Kurdish troops target Turkish vehicles with guided missile, leaving five soldiers dead and injured

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a Turkish soldier and serious injuries to four others, after their vehicle was targeted on the frontline of Hazawan in Aleppo countryside by an anti-tank guided missile fired by Kurdish forces.

SOHR activists have just reported that Kurdish troops shelled, with artillery, Turkish military post in Hazawan town in Aleppo countryside, amid reports of fatalities among Turkish troops and their proxies.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces stationed in military bases in Jabal al-Sheikh Aqeel and Hazawan bombarded the villages of Zuweyan, Radar and al-Sha’ala in al-Bab countryside in eastern Aleppo. Moreover, Turkish forces and their proxies expanded their shelling, targeting Kurdish-held villages of Tel al-Madiq, al-Sadd and Ghoul Saroug in Aleppo countryside.

Syrian Observatory activists reported earlier in the morning that Turkish forces fired several rockets in the early hours of Saturday morning, targeting positions in Abbin village, Mar’naz and Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo. The rocket fire caused material damage, but no casualties were reported. It is worth noting that regime forces are deployed in Tel Rifaat which also hosts a Russian military base.
