Joint patrol | Russian police and Turkish forces tour village in Ain al-Arab countryside (Kobani)

Aleppo province: Syrian Observatory activists have reported seeing Russian police and Turkish forces running a joint patrol on the western countryside of Ain al-Arab (Kobani). The patrol, which comprised eight Russian and Turkish vehicles was escorted by two Russian helicopters, set of from Ashmah village in the west of Kobami and toured the villages of Jarqily Fuqani, Jabnah, Katesh, Jib al-Faraj, Bayander, Qarrat Qawa, Qoula, Susan, the broadcasting centre area, Saftak, Boban, Khurkhuri, Dakmadash, Qarran, before the patrol returned to the starting point. After the joint patrol, the Turkish vehicles crossed into Turkish territory via the gate near Ashma village, while the Russian vehicles returned to the base in the broadcasting centre.

 

On July 19, SOHR activists reported that a new joint patrol of Russian and Turkish forces toured Ain al-Arab countryside (Kobani). The joint patrol set off from Ghareeb village in eastern Ain al-Arab and toured villages of Karbnav, Kousk, Elishar, Joum Ali, Kourtek, Zkubek Satan, Tel Hajeb, Telk, Houlaqiah, Jieshan and Qurrat Mough before it returned back to Ghareeb village. The patrol was escorted by two Russian helicopters.
