Military escalation | Turkish forces and their proxies shell Kurdish-held areas in northern Aleppo, while Kurdish forces attack outskirts of Azaz and al-Bab

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that artillery fire by Turkish forces and their proxy factions targeted this morning the Kurdish-held areas of Tanab, Kashta’ar and other areas in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

 

Meanwhile, Kurdish forces responded to the Turkish bombardment by shelling the western outskirts of Azaz and al-Maqri village in al-Bab countryside. It is worth noting that a civilian sustained light wounds deu to the bombardment on the outskirts of Azaz, while the bombardment on al-Maqri village killed sheep.

 

Yesterday, Turkish forces targeted positions in Tel Rifaat, Menagh, Ain Daqnah, and Tanab Kashta’ar in the northern countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery.

 

Meanwhile, Turkish-backed factions attacked a military vehicle of regime forces on Mare’ frontlines, but no casualties were reported.

 

On the other hand, al-Jabha al-Shamaliyah fired several artillery shells on positions in Azaz city, but no casualties were reported.
