Today, Syrians mark the 5th anniversary of the biggest terror explosion ever in al-Qamishli city that happened on July 27, 2016.

On that day, a truck carrying tons of explosives exploded in the western part of al-Qamishly city in al-Hasakah countryside at 9.30 am. The blasts resulted in a horrible massacre that killed and injured more than 200 people, where the booby trapped truck targeted a position of the internal security forces (Asayish), some buildings belonging to the Autonomous Administration and institutions of the departments of defense, justice, interior affairs, recruitment and public relations on the road to the overpopulated town of Amuda.
