Ceasefire violations | Russian jets renew striking positions in Jabal al-Zawiyah

SOHR sources have reported that Russian fighter jets renewed their airstrikes this afternoon, targeting positions in Ihsim and Mar’ian in Jabal al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib with over five airstrikes, which resulted in the injury of at least one man and caused material damage.


A few hours ago, Observatory activists said that Russian jets executed several airstrikes on the “de-escalation zone” this morning, targeting positions in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib, which hosts a Turkish observation post, but no casualties were reported.


On the other hand, regime forces fired several rockets on Iblin and al-Bara in southern Idlib.


Yesterday, SOHR sources reported renewed airstrikes by Russian fighter jets on the “de-escalation zone”, as they have executed over seven airstrikes on positions in Duwayr al-Akrad in the western countryside of Hama, Barzeh and the surrounding areas of Kabana in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia. However, no casualties were reported.


While on Tuesday, SOHR sources reported that SOHR activists said that Russian fighter jets executed nearly ten airstrikes on the surrounding areas of Kansafra and the perimeter of the Turkish post in al-Bara town in the southern countryside of Idlib. No casualties were reported.


Earlier in the morning, reliable sources told SOHR that Russian fighter jets executed nearly eight airstrikes, targeting al-Sarmaniyah and Duayr al-Akrad in west Hama countryside. The Russian airstrikes coincided with attacks by regime rocket launchers on al-Aliyah area in the western countryside of Idlib.
