“De-escalation zone” | Turkish forces raise readiness on Saraqib frontlines, while regime forces renew shelling positions in Aleppo and Idlib countryside

SOHR activists have monitored Turkish forces stationed in the vicinity of Saraqib city being on high alert, amid rising readiness of their soldiers, heavy weapons and minesweepers for unknown reasons.

On the other hand, regime forces have bombarded, with heavy artillery, the surrounding areas of Maaret al-Naasan in the countryside of Idlib, and Kafr Nouran in the west of Aleppo. In addition, several shells hit the surrounding areas of Kansafra town in the countryside of Idlib. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

Earlier this morning, SOHR activists reported rocket fire by regime forces on areas in Kafr Ammah village and Kafr Taal in the western countryside of Aleppo. Meanwhile, opposition factions responded by similar bombardment, targeting regime positions in the region.

On the other hand, the eastern frontlines of Jabal al-Zawiyah experienced exchange of fire and bombardment in the early hours of Saturday morning between opposition factions and regime forces, amid reports of casualties on both sides.
