IED attack | Explosion targets Turkish-backed commander in eastern Aleppo

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported an IED explosion in the early hours of Monday morning in a military vehicle of a commander of the Turkish-backed “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah”, near Fatema al-Zahraa mosque in al-Bab city which is under the control of Turkish-backed factions. The explosion caused material damage, but no casualties have been reported.

On August 3, SOHR sources documented death of two members of the 1st Division operating under the banner of the Turkish-backed National Army due to a landmine explosion that targeted their car in Arab Hassan area in east Aleppo countryside.

A day earlier, SOHR sources reported that the body of an unidentified man was found in al-Sukariyah village in areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxies in al-Bab countryside in the east of Aleppo.

The explosion and murder came in light of the ongoing security chaos across Syria.
