Along with ongoing shelling on Daraa | Unknown assailants attack regime checkpoint in eastern countryside

Daraa province: SOHR activists have reported that Daraa al-Balad and other areas in the countryside of Daraa are still being under sporadic shelling with heavy weapons by the 4th Division and the regime forces. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

 

On the other hand, SOHR activists have reported the eruption of clashes between unknown gunmen and soldiers stationed at a regime military checkpoint between Om al-Mayazen and Al-Na’emah towns in the eastern countryside of Daraa, along with artillery fire by regime forces on Om al-Mayazen town. However, no casualties have been reported yet.

 

SOHR sources had reported that unknown gunmen attacked, with machineguns and RPGs, a regime security checkpoint in Sheikh Maskin city in Daraa countryside in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Clashes erupted between the attackers and regime soldiers stationed at the checkpoint, before the attackers withdrew. The clashes resulted in the injury of several members on both sides, as well as the injury of a child after being hit with an indiscriminate gunshot.

 

On the other hand, unknown gunmen attacked the security centre in the regime security zone in Nawa city, using light weapons and RPGs, but no casualties were reported.

 

SOHR sources reported that unknown gunmen opened fore on a vehicle carrying food, which is affiliated to a regime military formation, on the road between Sayda and al-Kahil in the eastern countryside of Daraa. The attack left three regime soldiers injured, one seriously.
