“Al-Hawl mini-state” | ISIS affiliates assassinate Iraqi refugee
Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that unknown gunmen, but believed to be of ISIS affiliates, shot an Iraqi refugee dead in the first section of al-Hawl camp in al-Hasakah countryside this morning.
It is also worth noting that this is 23rd murder in al-Hawl camp since the end of the first phase of the security campaign, which indicates to alarming escalation of killings in the camp.
On August 8, SOHR activists documented the death of an Iraqi refugee, after being shot by unknown gunman, believed to be of ISIS affiliates, in the market of the first section of al-Hawl camp in al-Hasakah countryside. The gunfire also resulted in the injury of other Iraqi refugees and a Syrian displaced woman.
