Tribal fight | Four killed in Shamarekh camp in Azaz city

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have documented the death of four persons and injury of others due to fierce clashes between al-Jaies tribe and Al-Fardoun tribe in Shamarekh refugee camp in the east of Azaz city in the northern countryside of Aleppo, amid intense deployment of members of “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah” and the military police inside the camp to break up the clashes between the two tribes.

According to SOHR sources, a youth from al-Jaies tribe had opened fire on a group of youths of al-Fardoun tribe when they were attempting to break into his tent. The exchange of fire resulted in the death of the young man and others, which evolved to fierce clashes that left more fatalities. The death toll is expected to rise further as the clashes left several persons injured, some seriously.
