On charges of working with Autonomous Administration in Afrin | Turkey-backed factions torture two civilians and Al-Sham Corps arrest two brothers for ransom

 

Aleppo province: Members of Turkey-backed al-Sham Corps have arrested on August 15 two siblings who are a young male and female from Gmlah village in Jandarees neighborhood in Afrin on charges of serving in the autonomous defense in the former Autonomous Administration. Those members have asked the arrested people relatives to pay a ransom to release them.

Meanwhile, patrols of the military police and Mohamed al-Fateh faction have arrested three civilians from Ma’melo village in Ma’batly neighborhood on charged of working as security guards and for communicating with the former Autonomous Administration. The arrested civilians have been later transferred to Ma’ratah prison near Afrin city, while they were freed in the next day after one of their relatives has paid 1,000 US dollars for their release.

On the other hand, in the village of Qart Qelaq, Sultan Murad faction has tortured three old people violently as accused of dealing with the operation room of Olive Branch. They have been later tortured savagely including an old man who was very sick.

On August 10, SOHR activists reported release of three civilians from Jolma village after a ransom ranged between 1,000 to 2,000 Turkish lira.

On August 12, SOHR activists reported that Sultan Murad faction arrested 10 civilians from the village of Qart Qelaq and taking them to unknown area.
