Strikes on Afrin kill three |Turkish forces continue bombarding Kurdish forces-held areas in north Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: Three civilians have been killed and others have been wounded in a rocket fire targeting Afrin city in north Aleppo countryside.

On the other hand, rocket fire renewed on Afrin city and its surrounding areas amid continuous Turkish strikes on Kurdish forces-held areas in north Aleppo countryside.

Earlier, several explosions heared in Afrin city under control of the Turkish forces and its factions due to drop of rocket fire on al-Mazout road and al-Villat street in the city, which caused large fire, but no casualties were reported.

On the other hand, Turkish forces stationed in the military bases in Aleppo countryside bombarded Mengh Military Airport and Mar’anaz frontlines under control of the Kurdish forces in north Aleppo countryside.

On August 16, SOHR activists reported that Turkish forces and their proxies shelled, this evening, positions in the Kurdish-held villages of Ain Daqna, al-Bayloniya and Maraanar in north Aleppo countryside with heavy artillery. However, no causalities have been reported.

On August 15, SOHR activists reported that the Turkish forces and their proxies carried out artillery attacks, targeting positions in the Kurdish-held towns and villages of Maraanaz, Kashtaar, al-Shawargha castle, al-Shawargha, the bushes of Soughanka, Tat Marash, the vicinity of al-Zeyara and Deir Jamal in Sherawa district in the countryside of Afrin in the countryside of Aleppo.
