Regime-controlled areas


-A civilian was killed, yesterday, after sustaining severe wounds by unknown gunmen in al-Mosifirah town in east Daraa. It is worth noting that the dead man is a civilian who was opposing the regime in Daraa before reaching a settlement in 2018. On the other hand, unknown gunmen have assaulted a citizen who worked as a farm guard in al-Mosifirah town, who sustained wounds after being shot.



-ISIS has attacked military posts of the regime forces in al-Shoula desert in south Deir Ezzor countryside in the early hour of Wednesday. The attack caused death of an officer of the 11th Division and wounding of five members of the regime forces who have been dispatched to the Deir Ezzor Military Hospital. On the other hand, Iraqi Hezbollah factions’ posts in Jabal al-Boshra have been bombarded with mortars from the desert which caused the death of one of the factions and wounded another. The attacks came amid the increasing activities of ISIS in the Syrian desert.


Meanwhile, SOHR activists have reported that ten Russian warplanes and a regime forces warplane were hovering in the early hours of Wednesday and conducted 20 air strikes in the desert of Deir Ezzor and Hama. The attacks were carried out amid the combing operations for ISIS members in Jabal al-Boshra in eastern Raqqa desert, and the al-Masrab and al-Madhoul in western Deir Ezzor, Palmyra and al-Sokhna in east of Homs countryside and other vast areas in east Hama countryside.


-SOHR activists have reported the end of the second round of negotiations in Daraa, without reaching an agreement on the terms of the Russian roadmap. The meeting was held between the regime’s Security Committee and the Negotiation Committees in Daraa under supervision of Russian forces, for the second day in a raw.


-SOHR activists have reported that residents in villages and towns across Daraa province, including Jasim, Heit, Tafas and al-Mezeyrib, staged demonstrations, rejecting the terms of the Russian roadmap’s terms. The demonstrators chanted anti-regime slogans, expressing their discontent over the siege imposed on Daraa al-Balad for over 50 days. Daraa city is currently struggling with alarming humanitarian situation, amid shortage of bread, food supplies, drinking water, medicine and fuel. Meanwhile, al-Saraya crossing is still closed till today.





-Patrol of Turkey-backed military police has arrested a man and his father at the frontlines of Qatamah village near Sheran in Afrin countryside after their return to their villages from Aleppo city on August 15.


-On August 12, Turkey-backed factions arrested a young man from Kafr Safra village in Jendires district in western Afrin at one of the checkpoints that were deployed near Jendires district and Afrin city, while he was heading to Afrin city, but accusations for his arrest remained unknown.


Meanwhile, al-Sham Corps arrested a young man from Jendires on charges of serving the self-conscription service in the former Autonomous Administration to turn it into a bad reputation Iyska village prison.


On August 15, a patrol of the military police and al-Sham Corps in Jolmah village near Jendires arrested a civilian from the village on charges of serving for the Autonomous Administration demanding his relatives to pay a ransom to release them.


On the other hand, Soliman Shah faction that control areas of karmatiq and Sheikh al-Hadid arrested two sisters after they returned back from Lebanon and asked their relatives to pay large ransom for their release.


-Three civilians have been killed and others have been wounded in a rocket fire targeting Afrin city in north Aleppo countryside.


On the other hand, rocket fire renewed on Afrin city and its surrounding areas amid continuous Turkish strikes on Kurdish forces-held areas in north Aleppo countryside.


Earlier, several explosions heared in Afrin city under control of the Turkish forces and its factions due to drop of rocket fire on al-Mazout road and al-Villat street in the city, which caused large fire, but no casualties were reported.

On the other hand, Turkish forces stationed in the military bases in Aleppo countryside bombarded Mengh Military Airport and Mar’anaz frontlines under control of the Kurdish forces in north Aleppo countryside.


-SOHR activists have reported that two displaced children from Afrin sustained various wounds due to the explosion of an old landmine in a farm in Tel al-Shaeer village of Babens town in the northern countryside of Aleppo.



SDF-held areas


-SDF has brought large military reinforcement to Abou Raseen (Zarkan) that was composed of 60 vehicles equipped by heavy weapons in addition to other fighters and armored vehicles where the reinforcements have come from Romilyan and al-Qahtaniyah. On the other hand, the Turkish bombardment on Tal Tamr and Abou Raseen countryside have caused wounding of 20 civilians including children and women, some sustained severe wounds.


-SOHR activists have reported that the Internal Security Forces (al-Asyaish) have met with the Russian forces in al-Qamishly to discuss the exist of the national Defense forces out of the houses they seized by Iranian support in al-Villate and al-Mattar areas in al-Qamishly after targeting al-Asyaish checkpoint near the National Hospital in the city twice.



-SOHR activists have reported that the body of a young man from al-Bagouz was found with marks of torture, this morning, near to garbage landfill on the outskirts of al-Susah town in the countryside of Deir Ezzor. It is worth noting that the victim was gone missing a few days ago



“De-escalation zone”


-SOHR activists have reported that “al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room shelled, with heavy artillery and rocket launchers, positions and gatherings of regime forces in Jurin in the north-western countryside of Hama. However, no casualties have been reported yet. In the same context, regime forces have bombarded opposition factions’ posts in Kafar Aweed and Jabal al-Zawiya in the western countryside of Idlib.
