Gas cylinder explosion | Large fire in refugee camp in Idlib countryside leaves over 20 families homeless

Idlib province: SOHR sources have reported that a large fire broke out in Samdoun camp near Hayr Jamous village in Salqin countryside, after a gas cylinder exploded in a car near a tent in the camp. The fire extended to other tents, devouring over 20 tents. Moreover, two civilians sustained light burns due to the fire, while over 20 families have become homeless.

It is worth noting that the border areas in north-west Syria region accommodates a large number of tents whose inhabitants have been displaced from Idlib and Hama countryside, while these tents are made of cloths and plastic, which make them caught fire easily, especially with the lack of means of safety and fire prevention equipment.
