Afrin | Turkish-backed factions arrest nine civilians including women and children

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that Al-Waqqas Brigade faction, who controls Hakja village in Shaikh al-Hadeed district in Afrin arrested four civilians from the village on August 17, but the reasons behind their detaining remained unknown.

 

While on August 14, a patrol of the military police arrested two civilians, a man and a woman, from Kusa village in Raju district and living in Afrin city for “working previously for the former Autonomous Administration”. The arrested civilians have been later transferred to the prison in Ma’ratah village.

 

Also, on August 14, “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah” arrested a girl from her house in Brimija village in Mabatli district for unknown reasons.

 

Similarly, on August 11, al-Sultan Murad faction arrested a woman and her daughter in Qart Qalaq Kabeer village, only one week after arresting her husband for “communicating with the former Autonomous Administration”.
