Turkish drone attack | Kurdish-backed Iranian commander killed near al-Qamishli city

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have documented the death of an Iranian commander of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), affected by the injuries he sustained with his escort in the explosion in a military vehicle on August 19 near Ali Fru junction on the road between al-Qamishli and Amuda in the western countryside of al-Qamishli. According to SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by an attack by a Turkish drone.

 

On August 19, SOHR sources reported an explosion in a car of the Autonomous Administration near Ali Fru junction, which injured two persons. However, it was not known if the explosion was caused by an IED explosion or the explosion of explosive devices inside the car.

 

On the same day, August 19, a Turkish drone attacked the headquarters of the military relations bureau of Tel Tamr Military Council, killing nine people, including commanders, and injuring over ten others.
