Attempted to cross into Turkey from al-Hasakah countryside | Turkish Jandarma kill civilian and torture others

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a civilian from Markada town in al-Hasakah countryside, as he was shot by the Turkish-Border Guard Forces (Jardarma) in Turkish territory just after crossing the border strip from Otayshan village which is located nearly 12 km to the west of al-Darbasiyah.

 

Meanwhile, another civilian, who was escorting the victim, sustained wounds and fractures after being beaten cruelly by the Turkish Jandarma, before they deported him to Syrian territory.

 

Moreover, two young men were beaten brutally and thrown down of the border wall by the Turkish Jandarma on August 18, as they were attempting to cross into Turkey.

 

According to Syrian Observatory statistics, the number of Syrian civilians who have been killed by the Turkish Jandarma since the beginning of the Syrian Revolution, has risen to 480 including 87 children under the age of eighteen and 45 females over the age of eighteen.
