Military escalation | Turkish forces its factions bombard Kurdish-held areas in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR activists have reported that the Turkish forces and its factions have bombarded mortar and heavy artillery fire on the Kurdish-held areas in the countryside of Aleppo, where strikes have targeted Shawargha, Qala’at Shawargha, Maaranaz, Burj Kas and al-Malkeyah villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, SOHR activists, in t the early hours of Friday, have reported artillery fire by the Turkish forces on Maaranaz and the surroundings of the Menagh Military Airport and the vicinity of Tel Refaat. However, no casualties had been reported yet.

Yesterday, two members of the Kurdish forces were killed in clashes between Kurdish forces on one side and the Turkish-backed factions on the other at the frontlines of al-Kuridiya village on eastern al-Bab village. One the killed members died after sustained severe wounds while the other body was dragged by the Turkish-backed factions from the Kurdish forces. Other members of the Kurdish forces sustained different wounds.
