New attack | Turkish drone targets vehicle of political commander in al-Qamishli

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that a Turkish drone attacked a vehicle of the Autonomous Administration in front of the orphanage in Himo village in al-Qamishli city in al-Hasakah countryside, which caused material damage. According to SOHR sources, the vehicle was owned by a political Kurdish commander in the Autonomous Administration.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that the Turkish drone attacks in SDF-held areas rose to three in 48 hours, after a Turkish drone fired at least one missile on a vehicle in Sofyan village in the south of Ain al-Arab city (Kobani) in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, which caused material damage only.

SOHR activists had documented the death of an Iranian commander of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG), affected by the injuries he sustained with his escort in the explosion in a military vehicle on August 19 near Ali Fru junction on the road between al-Qamishli and Amuda in the western countryside of al-Qamishli. According to SOHR sources, the explosion was caused by an attack by a Turkish drone.

On that day, August 19, a Turkish drone also attacked the headquarters of the military relations bureau of Tel Tamr Military Council, killing nine people, including commanders, and injuring over ten others.
