Aleppo | Clashes renew between Turkish-backed factions and Kurdish forces, while Turkish forces shell six Kurdish-held villages

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported that Turkish forces and their proxy factions shelled Kurdish-held areas this morning, targeting positions in the villages of al-Malikiyah, al-Alqamiyah, Shawarghah, Shawarghah fortress in Sharran district, Mayyassah and Qunaiytarah in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside.

On the other hand, Observatory sources have reported clashes and exchange of fire between Turkish-backed factions and Kurdish forces on the frontlines of Kafr Khasher and Mar’anaz in the northern countryside of Aleppo, but no casualties have been reported.

On August 22, SOHR activists reported that a member of Maghaweer al-Shamal faction, which is affiliated to “al-Jabha al-Shamiyyah”, was killed while three other members were injured, some seriously, due to Kurdish attack with a guided missile on their post on the Kafr Khasher frontline in the south of Azaz city in north Aleppo countryside.

On the other hand, Turkish-backed factions reacted by shelling the villages of al-Alqamiyah, al-Irshadiyah and Kafr Khasher with heavy artillery.
