Ongoing military escalation | Turkish forces renew shelling positions in Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin, while Tel Tamr Council attacks positions in “Peace Spring” areas

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported that Turkish forces stationed in military bases in Daoudiyah and Bab al-Faraj fired several rockets and artillery shells on Tel al-Ward, Bab al-Khair al-Sharqi and other positions in Abu Rasin district (Zarkan).

 

Furthermore, Turkish forces shelled, with mortars and artillery, the Assyrian village of Tel Shamiran near al-Hasakah-Aleppo international highway, Tel Jemay’at al-Ashuriyah and al-Dardarah.

 

The Turkish bombardment has destroyed civilians’ houses and houses of worship and caused damage to the energy company.

 

On the other hand, Tel Tamr Military Council Forces shelled positions of the Turkish-backed factions in “Peace Spring” areas, leaving several militiamen injured.

 

Last night, SOHR activists reported tense calm prevailing on the frontlines of Tel Tamr and Abu Rasin countryside, hours after the exchange of shelling between Tel Tamr Military Council Forces on one hand, and Turkish forces and their proxies on the other. The bombardments caused damage to the energy company in Tel Tamr and destroyed civilians’ houses, as well as the injury of a regime soldier.

 

Turkish forces and their proxies had shelled Tel Karabit and Tel Jamaet al-Ashoreya, while Tel Tamr Military Council Forces bombarded al-Aziziya village where a Turkish post is located. In addition, SDF shelled a military post in Assdiyyah village in Zarkan countryside where fires broke out in the post, amid reports of casualties on the ranks of both parties.

 

Earlier in the morning, SOHR sources reported that a regime soldier died of wounds he sustained last night due to Turkish bombardment on regime military posts in Tel Tamr countryside in al-Hasakah countryside. The Turkish bombardment also left 20 other soldiers injured.
