Tribal infighting | Young civilian die in Ras al-Ayn clashes

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR activists have reported that a young man died due to the wounds he sustained few days ago in clashes between the military police and the civil police in the vicinity of Ras al-Ayn hospital in “Peace Spring” areas in the countryside of Al-Hasakah.

On Aug 22, Syrian Observatory sources reported that five members of the Turkish-backed factions were injured in clashes with machineguns between civil police and military police, in the vicinity of a hospital in Ras al-Ain city in the Peace Spring areas in al-Hasaka countryside.

According to SOHR sources, the medical staff was on a strike after members of Ahrar al-Sharqiya and al-Hamza division assaulted them. The sources mentioned that the clashes between factions were escalated over appointing new doctors and new administration to the hospital.

On Aug 11, SOHR activists reported clashes with machineguns between the civil police on one side and members of al-Hamzah Division on the other near Dawaar al-Bareed in middle of Ras al-Ain city under control of “Peace Spring” area in al-Hasakah countryside. Ten militants sustained severe wounds in the clashes.
