Bombardment on Tafas | Woman among many civilians killed and wounded in regime artillery and rocket fire

Daraa province: SOHR activists have documented the death of a woman and a young man and the injury of five other civilians, some seriously, due to the intensive ground bombardment by regime forces on Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa.

SOHR sources have just reported that regime forces fired tens of artillery shells and rockets on civilians’ houses in Tafas city in the western countryside of Daraa, leaving several people injured.

This bombardment came in light of the impeded negotiations regarding the implementation of the Russian roadmap for the 12th consecutive day.

Regime forces had brought in new military reinforcement to the western countryside of Daraa, including tanks and military vehicles of the 15th Division. The recently-arrived reinforcement were stationed at al-Saru military checkpoint on the road between Daraa and Tafas city, while regime forces set up mortar cannons in three positions in the south of Tafas city and on the outskirts of Daraa city.
