Rising tension | Turkish forces shell nearly ten Kurdish-held villages, with ongoing clashes on frontlines in Aleppo countryside

Aleppo province: SOHR sources have reported clashes, in the early hours of Friday morning, with heavy and medium weapons between Turkish-backed factions and Kurdish forces on the frontlines of Kaljabrin and al-Daghelbash in Aleppo countryside.

 

Meanwhile, Turkish forces shelled several Kurdish-held villages, including Burj Qas, Mayyassah, Zarna’eet in Shirawa district in Afrin countryside, Sadd al-Shahbaa Samouqah, Ziwan, Ain Daqnah and Baylouniyah in the northern countryside of Aleppo. No casualties have been reported.

 

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the death of a Kurdish fighter from Kafr Safr village in Jendires district affected by the injury he had in Turkish bombardment on Mar’naz village.

 

On the other hand, Turkish-backed militiamen shot a three-year-old boy from Burj Qas village dead, while he was playing in front of his house.

 

Moreover, Turkish forces and their proxy factions shelled the villages of al-Sadd and Samouqah and the outskirts of Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo with heavy artillery.
