Escalating unknown murder | Unidentified gunmen attack SDF-military checkpoint in Deir Ezzor, others kill civilian in al-Hasakah countryside

Unidentified gunmen have attacked SDF-controlled al-Hadiqa checkpoint in al-Shaheel town in eastern Deir Ezzor countryside with machine guns.

On the other hand, SDF has brought military reinforcements and has stormed houses nearby the checkpoint and arrested young men in the area.

Meanwhile, a civilian from al-Haseen countryside in north Deir Ezzor was killed at the road of al-Ashteeh village in the countryside of al-Marqadah town in south of al-Hasakah by unknown gunmen, but reasons behind the murder remained unknown.

Such crimes come amid growing activities of ISIS cells in the SFD-held areas.

As more fatalities are recorded and updated regularly, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo rose to 784 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties.

The Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 278 civilians including 17 children and 14 women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 502 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

Also, four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
