Al-Hasakah | Regime forces in Tartab Regiment put on high alert and interrupt water supplies to al-Qamishli

Al-Hasakah province: SOHR sources have reported seeing regime forces being put on high alert in Tartab Regiment adjacent Zanoud neighbourhood in the south of al-Qamishli city. Regime forces also erected soil barriers and interrupted water supplies to the neighbourhood and changed the water line to the Regiment area.

 

In mid-August, unknown gunmen on a motorcycle attacked, with a grenade and machineguns, the furthest checkpoint of Asayish forces in al-Qamishli city, near the National Hospital which is under the control of the Syrian regime. The attack is believed to be carried out by regime forces. However, no casualties were reported.

 

On July 4, SOHR activists monitored clashes between two groups of the National Defense Forces (NDF) one of them was from Jarmaz village and the other was from Zanoud village in the southern countryside of al-Qamishly city in al-Hasakah countryside.

 

The conflicting groups used light weapons, which left several members injured, some seriously, and they were taken to the national hospital in al-Qamishly. Meanwhile, pro-regime elders and dignitaries mediated to break up the clashes and defuse the tension between the conflicting groups.
