Rebellion in Turkish-backed factions in Libya | After decrease of salaries and prevention of vacations, anger spread camps of Turkish mercenaries in Tripoli

SOHR activists have reported wide anger of and state of rebellion have prevailed camps of the Turkish-backed factions mercenaries in the Libyan capital, Tripoli after leaders of the factions have decreased their salaries to 2,500 US dollar per month.

It is worth noting that the mercenaries take their salaries each four months.

According to SOHR, tens of the factions members have rejected during the past few days to join the tactic and morning sports lessons in protest against decreasing their salaries and accusations against the factions of looting their money in addition to prevent them from taking their agreed upon factions.

On the other hand, leaders of the Turkish-backed factions have imposed 1,000 US dollars on the members who desire to take vacations and return back to Syria.

On August 13, reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that Turkish-backed factions smuggled north-west African-born European fighters to Libya by transporting them among batches of Syrian mercenaries heading there, as these fighters have planned to return to their countries in Europe.

According to SOHR sources, the leader of the Turkish-backed faction of Sultan Suleiman Shah “Abu Amsha” transported five European fighters of African descent to Libya, exploiting the back-and-forth transfer operations of Syrian mercenaries from and to Libya. It is worth noting that there are nine other jihadists being prepared to be transported to Libya with the next batches of Syrian mercenaries.

The Syrian Observatory had pointed out to the fact that nearly 10,000 jihadists, mostly Tunisians, were transported from Syria to Libya in 2020.
